The apartment is located within a fully renovated building in the Isola district of Milan. The project involved the complete design of a neutral volume—a “blank box”—which offered the opportunity to shape the interior spaces in a bespoke manner, tailored to the functional and aesthetic needs of its future inhabitants.
The home is spread over two levels. On the upper floor, which also serves as the main entrance level, the living area is laid out with kitchen and dining spaces opening onto a generous terrace-garden, along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en suite to the master bedroom. The lower level was conceived as a more intimate and secluded zone, housing a guest bedroom with its own bathroom and a utility/laundry room.
The interior is defined by a balance between classical elegance and contemporary language: mouldings, cornices, and clean-lined decorative elements converse with the architectural modernity of the building’s overall transformation.
A key feature of the project is the custom-designed entrance wardrobe, which discreetly conceals the access to the master bedroom and continues inside as a walk-in closet. A tailor-made solution that defines the space while optimizing every centimetre.
