Baretti apartment

Light, transparency, and custom furnishings: a radical renovation in the heart of San Salvario, Turin.
A top-floor apartment transformed into a fluid, bright, and contemporary space, blending glass, wood, and bold colors.

Complete renovation of a two-level apartment on the top floor of an early 20th-century building, located in the vibrant heart of San Salvario, Turin.
The project is defined by its emphasis on natural light. The double-height living area is illuminated by two large skylights that expand the space and bring airiness to the interior. Transparency plays a key role: the mezzanine overlooking the living room features a glass floor that allows daylight to flow down through the levels. Glass partitions were also chosen for the bedroom walls on the upper level to maximize light penetration.
Bespoke furniture defines and enhances the space: a large entrance wardrobe in polycarbonate conceals the laundry area, pantry, and coat storage; a custom-designed sofa integrated with a wooden platform; and made-to-measure bathroom cabinets. Finishes are minimal and bright, with white walls and light oak floors interrupted by bold splashes of color in the bathrooms, where deep blue and vibrant yellow take center stage.
