The project transforms a decayed historic building in Turin’s San Salvario district into a prestigious residential complex, where restoration and contemporary design merge to preserve and reinterpret its original identity.

The property is located in the San Salvario district of Turin, adjacent to Valentino Park, in a highly strategic urban context with proximity to the park, the metro, and the main city thoroughfares. The project entailed the conversion of a long-abandoned and severely deteriorated building into a high-standard residential complex, while preserving and enhancing its original architectural identity.
The scope of works included the restoration of the entrance hall and stairwell, complemented by the integration of a contemporary elevator. The street-facing façade was carefully restored in line with its original features, whereas the courtyard-facing elevation underwent a more extensive redevelopment: structural reinforcements were added to the balconies, all railings were replaced, and a system of vertical blades was introduced in the central section, aligned with the stairwell. The intervention ultimately led to the creation of nine residential units of varying typologies.
